Vespula Vidua, 2011
Among Damien Hirst’s most widely recognized works are the Spot Paintings series, of which he has produced over 1,000 throughout his prolific career. Each one is created from lines of colored spots repeating the same pattern, with spots of every different shade mathematically aligned with equal diameter between them. Vespula Vidua (2011), is done in silkscreen in an extremely limited edition of only 100, and each is signed by the artist.
