Untitled (Pitcher)

This glazed porcelain pitcher was created in tandem with Kara Walker’s 2014 installation A Subtlety at the Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Her collaboration with Bernardaud features a profile adorned on the pitcher, recalling the sphinx-like sculpture that stood as the centerpiece of the installation. Created in a limited edition of 1,000, each one stamped with Walker’s signature and individually numbered.
