Kenny Scharf
Scharf is a painter and installation artist who was a vital part of the outburst of creative thinking and artmaking that emerged in New York in the 1980s, a movement often outside of the official gallery and museum culture of the time. His comic book-inspired works are joyful, societally critical, and often delivered with vibrant colors and a sense of humor.
