Phaidon, Artspace, and The Broad are pleased to announce DRFTRS (Daisy Ghost) (2025), a new limited-edition print by Los Angeles–based artist Sterling Ruby. Drawn from his ongoing DRFTRS series, the work blends collage and lithography into layered monochromatic tones and gestural lines that reference landscape, archaeology, and cyanotype. Ruby describes this process as “an illicit merger,” where elements converge to blur what is real and what is not.

Co-commissioned by Phaidon and The Broad, the edition marks the 30th anniversary of Phaidon’s Contemporary Artists Series—which features Ruby’s monograph—and The Broad’s 10th anniversary. Limited to 180 prints, each work is individually signed and numbered by the artist and reflects Ruby’s continued exploration of collage as a site of formal and conceptual experimentation.
